Junior Team Classroom Management Plan
The Trentham School Behaviour Management Plan works well for playground incidents. The Junior Team has put the following steps in place for classroom behaviour.
Clear instructions and teaching will take place in all classrooms, so that children understand the expected behaviours and routines.
We believe this will help us to build a classroom environment that is safe for all children and conducive to learning.
Classroom Behaviour Plan
Step 1
Verbal warning.
Step 2
Verbal warning and name is recorded on board.
Step 3
Verbal warning and “x” beside name- Time out in classroom if needed.
Step 4
Time out. Children will go to another room or to Mrs Wasley’s room, Team Leader, with a note explaining what has happened. If child does not want to go, send a runner to Mrs Wasley and she will come and get them.
Teacher will send child back when sufficient time has passed. Teachers will give lots of positive reinforcement in Junior rooms. This is an important part of our behaviour plan.
Consequences
If child has been removed from the classroom 3 times over the previous 2 weeks for violent or inappropriate behaviour the child is considered to be a candidate for consequences.
